This past weekend Mrs. Harley Howie and I went to The Annual Pompano Beach Seafood Festival with our good pals Steve and Wendy. Other than the McDonald’s Air and Sea Show (which is taking place this coming weekend), it is one of South Florida's most popular and unique events. The festival took place right on the city's beautiful beach. For 3 days you would get food, live entertainment, BEERS and a few arts and craft. The seafood was supposedly prepared by South Florida's finest restaurants and culinary artists. But take my words for it, it wasn’t that great. Perhaps we didn’t know what to order. Mrs. And I ordered Shrimp Kebabs, which wasn’t that bad. Some crab cakes but they were burn on the outside and cold inside. To top them off, it was the Spicy Mahi-Mahis. OH my God was it awful. It was supposed to be crispy outside and soft inside with a spicy flavor. Not only it was charred and hard outside, the fish was dry and bland. If it was'nt for the 2 Miller-Lite I ordered, I have nothing to wash them down.

At least there was good music. Wendy knows a guy who works in the backstage so we all got free backstage pass.

Everybody else had to sit on the sand under the scorching sun, we sat comfortably on the folding chairs under nice shades while gulping down cold beers bottles after bottles.

And of course, with The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame Dave Mason rocking with the band playing songs like 40,000 Headmen that was a weekend to remember.
